Tell me about your journey to becoming a writer.

I have always enjoyed creative writing. As a matter of fact, I have two children's books available right now: The Lost Little Goslings and Happiness!

What was the main inspiration behind your book?

For the last 30 years I have been studying, learning, and working in the healthcare field. Along the way I have written down my "pearls of wisdom" from each course. At one point a patient jokingly suggested that I should put my recommendations in a book because of all the questions I am constantly answering. That put the idea in my head that I should write a reference book for home use based on my past education and experience as a healthcare provider.

What kind of research did you have to do for it?

I took out my old notebooks and rolodex with my jotted down pearls of information, and started compiling. These are notes that I would periodically refer to over the years for more details when working cases. I started using them to put together the book. The book is a place where basic valuable natural health tips are in one place for future reference.

This project became my book, The Unabridged Field Guide for Natural Health.

What was your writing routine?

I would get my best work done early, early in the morning. I always have. I would wake at 3 or 4 am and go to my study with everything open and laid out and write until the work day started. I did this several nights a week, for a little over a year until it was completed.

Describe your book in one sentence.

My book is the Bible of home reference books on natural health, because of how concise, complete, and user friendly it is. Every household should have one.

Tell us about the best writing advice you’ve ever received.

The best advice for writing that I ever received was, make the voice in your writing clear and in ordinary plain language. When one has truly mastered something they easily bring it back to regular everyday language so that all can easily understand it.

Do you have any upcoming events?

I will have signed copies of the book available at the next health fair I participate in, but with Covid restrictions, that time and place is undetermined at this point.

Tell us something about you that your fans may not know or something that you want to share.

I am an animal lover, an avid reader and I absolutely love helping people feel and look their best!

Why should people read your book?

People should read my book and keep it on hand because it is loaded with basic natural remedy suggestions from several different natural health modalities. It includes instructions on what remedies to use, When to use them and how to use them. It is organised alphabetically by ailment. You just look up the ailment and there are my top health tips for that ailment will be there. With my book you have a place to start, things to try, while you get a hold of your family doctor, if you demp that necessary for the situation.

The Unabridged Field Guide for Natural Health is available on Amazon for only $1.99. Get your copy today!
