About the Author


For over four decades, Dr. Michael Weiner has worked as a pediatric oncologist in some of our nation’s top medical facilities. His has been recognized and rewarded as head of Pediatric Oncology and Vice chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

He has made major contributions in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with leukemia and lymphoma and has been nationally recognized as a leader in the field.

Dr. Weiner is most proud of the work he’s done with Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund a 501(c)(3) grassroots charitable organization he founded 25 years ago to support patients and families, education, special programs and research.
