Coming Soon: Pub-Funding

ATLANTIC PUBLISHING CROWDFUNDING

What if I told you that you could publish your book at no cost to you and maybe walk away with a profit before the book is even released? Atlantic Publishing has a fantastic new program in the works to help you do that.

With millions of new books entering the market each and every year, it’s more important that ever to publish a book that’s not only good, but also great.

Publishing a professionally edited and designed book is an expensive investment. There aren’t any shortcuts. What many authors don’t know is that there is a way of easing or eliminating the financial burden of your investment – a path that can also help you sell books and build an engaged readership before you’re published. It’s called crowdfunding.

WHAT IS CROWDFUNDING?

Crowdfunding is a practice that has taken the world by storm! In recent years, it has been used to fund everything from medical services to new technologies. Simply put, crowdfunding is another term for online fundraising or pre-ordering.

Crowdfunding is the process in which a group or individual runs a time-sensitive and goal-based funding project, called a “crowdfunding campaign.” The goal of the campaign is to raise enough money to substantially cover the basic costs of a project or venture. In this case, we’re talking about the professional publication of a book.

HOW CAN CROWDFUNDING HELP YOU?

Publishing is an expensive business, but crowdfunding offers authors a way to pay up-front without having to take out personal loans or put a strain on their own finances.

Of course, crowdfunding is not going to be ideal for every person or project. When it is done well, though, it can be an overwhelmingly positive experience. As it relies on word-of-mouth advertising, it is best used by people who already have an online presence on social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Social media allows news organizations, bloggers, websites, and individuals to view your current projects as well as your previous work. This gives them the ability to get to know you and understand your vision – your book.
